The museum

You'll walk through the exhibition space as if you were in a village, from house to house, through a lively scenography that combines historical data and sensitive testimonies. Your journey follows that of the children taken in by the Assistance Publique, the nannies "on the spot" who stayed in the Morvan and those "on the spot" who went off to the city to nurse children other than their own.

Musée des nourrices

The museum's brasserie-library

Built around the idea of welcoming visitors, the museum houses a brasserie-library, a real place to live and meet in the heart of the village: have a drink or a snack, chat or work, read a book or play a game... At all times, we offer a menu of sweet and savoury snacks: buckwheat cakes, wheat pancakes, toadstools... As the number of places is limited, booking is recommended.

The bookshop

The café is also a shop with a selection of regional products, local crafts, books and games... On the spot or to take away, taste the local produce of Morvan: honey, gingerbread, jams, herbal teas, terrines, beers... With an exclusive creation for the museum: the "Bière des nourrices" brewed in the village (microbrewery B comme Bière)! Continue your visit with a selection of themed books on the Morvan, history, childhood, parenthood...
