Take a tour of the town, which has been awarded the Cités de Caractère de Bourgogne Franche Comté label, with the free booklet you request from the Tourist Office. You'll pass the chapel of the Vieux Château and the Hospital, the church of Saint-Alban, listed in the Inventaire Supplémentaire des Monuments Historiques (Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments), from which you'll have a lovely view of the town, the bust of Henri Bachelin, a famous French writer of the 20th century... and lots of other surprises. During your walk, take the time to stop off at the covered market.

Departing from the Tourist Office, we propose a walk for families, and possible with children in a "compact" pushchair. Discover our little town of Lormes, with its subtle charm, its narrow streets and lanes, its heritage and natural sites. Make the most of this time to take a playful break on our playgrounds and enjoy a well-deserved snack with your children!

Leaving from the Etang du Goulot, "Nestor's walk" is a family outing accompanied by our pet. Take to the paths, wander through part of the forest, cross a small stream and breathe in the well-being of the Morvan.
Children will no doubt prefer to discover the town in the company of Godefroy le Lormois! With a booklet, follow the adventures of this valiant knight and meet his challenges... The booklet is on sale at the Tourist Office for €2 (in French or Dutch).
Reach the Narvau Gorges, a magical, listed natural site not far from the town. Follow the 1.5 km footpath to admire the forest, the impressive waterfall and a carpet of blue hyacinths in spring. If you pass by the rocks, keep your ears open. You might hear whispers. Not far from you is the Grotte aux Fées. Only the bravest will dare stop here. These cliffs are also ideal for rock climbing. Put on your harness and defy weightlessness.
Contemplate the view from Mont de la Justice, the highest point in the town at 470 metres. The newly installed orientation table and explanatory panels will give you a few keys to this magnificent panorama overlooking the Yonne valley.
This beautiful 10-hectare lake is a great place for walking (there is a 2km walk around it), swimming, sports and family activities. It has fishing pontoons (1 of which is accessible to the disabled), a children's play area, a fitness trail, petanque courts and an arboretum.

A dozen art galleries can be visited in the city centre. Exhibitions are organised throughout the year. Get lost in the streets and immerse yourself in the world of graffiti. Admire the murals and decorations that change with the seasons. In summer, visit the Artists' Open Studios.
The town is alive with festivities and musical gatherings: the Grande Fête de la Musique, book markets, street shows, jazz concerts, the "C" Festival, the Cour Denis Festival, etc.
