Discovered in the early 1970s, the Bardiaux theatre has a rustic character and differs from urban theatres. It dates from the end of the 2nd-4th century. The semicircular enclosure wall was probably topped by a wooden and adobe wall. Six rows of terraces are simple slopes, cut into the hillside, without any supporting framework or masonry, and could accommodate 700 to 800 people. Thanks to maintenance work, you will be able to rediscover the history of this place from where you can enjoy a view of Château-Chinon.
