In the commune of Gouloux, 5 km from St Brisson, the Saut de Gouloux is a tourist attraction in the Morvan. At this place the stream "le Caillot" falls into an ancient fault that created the overhang, ending in a waterfall of 10 meters high. This waterfall, located in the depths of the forest, cannot be seen from the road, but can be discovered gradually thanks to the sound of the water, which becomes louder as you approach. The access path is lined with ancient low walls of mossy stones, deciduous trees and conifers, which gives this place a wild and authentic character. A sound hut is installed near the river to amplify this "white water chuckle". Next to the waterfall, we see beautiful granite walls, the ruins of two mills, one for flour and the other for oil, as well as the site of an old floating port. This site was once used for floating wood because the Morvan provided firewood in Paris and logs were transported by the rivers: Cure, Yonne. Signs on the site allow you to discover the history of the site. Parking and restaurant have been arranged for your pleasure
