This hike will help you discover the western part of the massif. From the pond of Préperny and its peat bog, signs will give you some keys to understanding the site. A short, slightly steep climb will take you to the summit, where you will also find explanations on the relief, climate and forest of the Morvan mountain. You will then descend a fairly steep slope to reach a rural path (marker n°3), then a tarmac road which will lead you to the "Pré du Massé - P3" car park.
Then, your steps will take the forest road of the Rosée overlooking the Yonne valley. You will pass through mossy, fragrant fir forests (sensitive marker no. 1) and cross the Proie stream, which was part of the network of waterways used for floating (marker no. 2). You will end up on the path of the round fountain, where you will be able to admire peat bogs, moors and meadows in a wooded area.
