This hike will introduce you to the western part of the massif. From the pond at Préperny and its peat bog, signs will give you a few keys to understanding the site. A short, slightly steep climb will take you to the summit, where you will also find explanations of the relief, climate and forest of the Morvan mountains. You will then descend a fairly steep slope to reach a country lane (marker No. 3), then a tarmac road that will take you to the "Pré du Massé - P3" car park. You will then take the Rosée forest road overlooking the Yonne valley, passing through mossy, fragrant fir forests (sensitive marker no. 1) and crossing the Proie stream, which was part of the network of watercourses used for floating (marker no. 2), before finishing on the round fountain path, where you can admire peat bogs, moors and meadows in a wooded setting.
