Les queules
Nature on the mountain is remarkable. A magnificent beech forest has grown up here, populated by queules, young trees once woven by farmers to demarcate agricultural plots.

Théâtre des Bardiaux
The Théatre des Bardiaux is one of the smallest theatres in France. It could seat at least 500 people (the classical theatre at Autun, the largest in Gaul, could hold 17,000 spectators).
Known as Socrate
Georges Leyton, known as "Socrate", enlisted at 19 and was a career second lieutenant in 1940. An early Resistance fighter, in February 1944 he set up an armed group in a disused farmhouse at Le Four-Vieux, near the Maubous woods.

The Maison du Patrimoine Oral de Bourgogne, a centre for cultural action and ethnological research in rural areas, is committed to transmitting, safeguarding and promoting the words and cultures of the Morvan and Burgundy by listening carefully to the land.
Notre Dame de l’Aillant
The statue of Notre Dame de l'Aillant was built in 1878 and its plaque was affixed to the plinth on 15 August 1946 in recognition of Notre Dame, who protected Anost on 14, 15 and 16 July 1944 from the German troops preparing to set fire to the village.

Maquis des fiottes
In July 1943, resistance fighter Joseph Pelletier took charge of four S.T.O. (Service du Travail Obligatoire) draft dodgers and hid them in these woods. After moving around a little in the surrounding woods, the maquis found this hiding place on 14 February 1944. The next day, a team of collaborators managed to find the camp and killed five Maquis members: Lucien Cortet, Jean Dechaume, René Goussot, René Viatre and Gabriel Lavault. Charles Camus, a wine merchant, was also shot dead in the village.
A nourishing land
A place of remembrance and expression, based on historical archives and sensitive testimonies, the museum evokes the lives and journeys of the children placed in care in the Morvan, the families who took them in and the women who became "on-the-spot nannies". Two centuries of local history set against changes in society and public administration.

Le château de la butte du Thil
The 480-metre-high Butte de Thil offers one of the finest views in the Auxois region. At its summit, the watchtower of the ancient medieval fortress (9th-14th century), 25 metres high and five storeys high, dominates the valleys of the Armançon to the east and the Serein to the west.
A danse macabre unique in France
With its sober appearance, the little chapel of Sainte-Apolline contains a priceless treasure: a male and female danse macabre now depicting 29 figures.

Gîte du Château de Sainte-Colombe
The Château de Sainte-Colombe dates from the 17th and 18th centuries and is located in Sainte-Colombe-en-Auxois (on the Bribacte-Alésia GR), in northern Burgundy in a small valley in the Auxois region.
The "Gîte du Château de Sainte-Colombe" is a group gîte (3 épis) and comprises 8 rooms (2/3/6/8 pers.) with single beds and en-suite facilities.

Les anis de Flavigny
You've probably already seen the little oval tin of Anis de Flavigny, haven't you? But the history of these sweets and this typical tin, the variety of flavours on offer and the organic range are less well known. It all began in the 11th century with the crops grown by the monks of the abbey in the village of Flavigny. It was they who came up with the idea of coating aniseed in sugar syrup. After the revolution, the monks fled their abbey. However, 8 villagers continued to make aniseed syrup until it was finally taken over by the Troubat family in 1923.
Le Muséoparc
A place of history and remembrance known to all, the site of Alesia has been part of the national heritage since the famous battle between Caesar and Vercingetorix.
An emblematic statue
To commemorate the completion and success of research at Alesia, Napoleon III commissioned the sculptor Aimé Millet to create a colossal statue of Vercingetorix. Standing 6.60 metres high, this work in sheet copper was erected in 1865. Its 7-metre stone base was designed by the architect Viollet-le-Duc.

In the heart of the village of Alise-Sainte-Reine, this beautiful building steeped in history has been converted into a stopover gîte. Owned by the local council, this house is ideal for groups and families alike.
With a capacity of 31 people, it has rooms for 2 to 8 people (single beds and bunk beds) on two floors. On the ground floor, a fully equipped kitchen (crockery, oven, fridge, microwave, freezer, dishwasher) is at your disposal. Its garden and outdoor courtyard are particularly pleasant in fine weather.
