Carnivorous fish
The Crescent has a good population of pike, zander and perch. Pike exceeding one metre in length are caught every year, and large pike-perch (over 80 cm) and perch (over 40 cm) are common.
A Mecca for pike-perch fishing. Every year it attracts a large number of loyal anglers who swear by it. In recent years, catfish have made their appearance and some fine specimens exceeding 1.80 m have been caught.
Whether you're fishing with livebait or lures, you can track predators from the shore or from a boat. From the shore, the Queuzon and Railly bridge areas are a must. By boat, you can fish the gently sloping beaches, cliffs or submerged structures (mills, bridges), depending on the season.
Launching spots around the lake
A boat launch is available for anglers. Located upstream of the lake near the Queuzon bridge, it is on the right bank towards the hamlet of Le Mont.
- Sailing with an internal combustion engine is permitted. Engine power is limited to 6 hp.
- The speed limit is 6km/h
"The tail of the Cure is wilder and renowned for its very large pike".

Carps
The Crescent boasts a fine population of carp, some weighing more than 20 kilos. The fishing here is fairly technical due to the wide variety of spots and variations in depth. Two fishing sectors are authorised for night fishing.
One is located between the Queuzon bridge and the boat launch. The other is on the Cure branch downstream of the Railly bridge. Night fishing is not permitted on the rest of the lake. Carp anglers are advised to mark the boundaries of their fishing zone with floating markers to ensure that all anglers live together peacefully. Finally, lines should not be stretched more than halfway across the lake.
- Night fishing for carp is authorised from 1 January to 31 December inclusive on the following routes;
- It is practised exclusively in NO-KILL;
- Vegetable baits are the only baits permitted;
- cAll anglers are required to mark their presence with a permanent light;
- Only biwys, shelter tents and brollies are permitted (green or camouflage colours). Stands, hanging tarpaulins and other shelters are prohibited.
