Circuit de randonnée : Boucle du bois de Marcioux

You start your walk in front of the old Tacot station which linked Corbigny to Saulieu. This small train of 3 to 4 wagons carried daily inhabitants and goods (cattle, poultry, wood, lime, stone) through the Morvan. It took 5 hours to cover the 80km.

You then plunge into the coolness of the Morvan forest. In this cocoon of greenery, alternating deciduous and coniferous trees, you will be able to observe the typical fauna and flora of our granite Morvan.

At the end of your forest immersion, you pass near the Moulin du Bois pond and cross a small river called the Auxois. Don't be fooled by its size, it played a role in the floating of wood from the Morvan to Paris and enabled the operation of several mills in the town.
