The rocks of the Narvau gorges were discovered in the early 90s.
A first phase of equipment, initiated by the local FFME club, enabled a number of belays to be set up in the Patrick sector.
The facilities were extended to the other sectors in the early 2000s, developing a site geared primarily towards beginners.
The equipment is close together, and the modest height makes it an ideal site for children and beginners, with an unrestricted view over half the Nièvre!

A granitic site of 6 to 12 m, small height but very demanding in a rather finger style alternating cracks, slabs, dihedral and overhangs.
You have to play the game, accept that you won't be able to weave too much and that you won't be able to use the holds on the side when the routes are a little close together.
We wanted to revisit the ratings initially proposed by the opener and pay tribute to the quality of his work.
Thank you to him for giving us these beautiful Morvan jewels!

Rocher du Montal offers routes of varying difficulty, with several very fine passages. The main face is very sunny, while the rocks on the right are shaded and dry out slowly.
The Rocher du Chien is a group of rocks made up of two needles (north and south). There is a summit block next to the needle and a lower block below the southern needle.
These needles are built like a stack of compact boulders, which at first make for disconcerting climbing.
With a bit of practice, however, you'll enjoy it and come back for more. The eastern faces are the most interesting.
In the warmer months, it's nice there in the afternoons.
The ridges face south.
